Seema Mohapatra
Seema brings nearly three decades of rich experience in the Media and Entertainment industry, seamlessly blending executive leadership with entrepreneurial filmmaking. As the co-founder of Ten Years Younger Productions, she and her business partner Jahanara Bhargava have produced critically acclaimed films such as Barot House, Posham Pa, Nail Polish for Zee5, and the Amazon Prime Video series Dil Dosti Dilemma. Additionally, they have also co- produced the independently funded film Pune Highway and are currently working on the post-production of their experimental film Pigeon.
Previously, Seema was part of the core team that revitalized the Mumbai Film Festival in 2014 and 2015, and she advised a leading Bollywood filmmaker on his first globally marketed film. She further honed her filmmaking craft working alongside director Amole Gupte on Hawaa Hawaai.
Prior to her transition to the world of film making, Seema had a long executive career with the BBC. She headed the South Asian Operation of BBC Advertising for BBC Worldwide and was responsible for the commercial launch of channels & BBC’s digital platforms in India. She was a Member of the Board of Directors of BBC Worldwide India Private Limited and trustee of the BBC World Service Trust in India.
