Pune Highway
Khandu, Vishnu, Nicky and Babu grow up together in ’Shantibhavan’; a building in Mumbai. Even though babu lives in the watchmens shed it doesn’t prevent them from being a band of brothers. Khandu’s sister, Natasha, hanging around the periphery, grows up to be A self-assured woman with her own secrets.
Life in Shantibhavan is great. Despite Babu tragically becoming a paraplegic in his early 20's needing constant care. This is provided by the three friends, in a hospice in Lonavla. They spare no expense to keep their friend comfortable. If anyone can afford it they can. Vishnu is a successful lawyer, Khandu is an incredibly well respected, politically backed, social entrepreneur and Nicky is an artist, film maker with an inheritance.
One day this blessed ‘Shantibhavan’ existence is shattered when an unidentified body is found floating in a lake in Bhor, 200 kilometres away. When the body is identified, it not only tears the political fabric of Maharashtra apart, it also strains the friendship. Khandu and Vishnu find themselves on opposite sides. Khandu accusing a man of murder and Vishnu defending him. Things get worse when Nicky and Natasha are implicated. Pune Highway then hurtles to an impossible, shocking ending.
